Wilhelma in Stuttgart is one of the most visited zoological gardens in Germany. At the back of the Wilhelma Theater is a Marché Mövenpick’s Amazonica, one of the zoo’s restuarants. It is directly adjacent to the theater’s landmarked facade, in which three high round arches provide space for soundproofing structures. Due to the protection of historic monuments, the substructure could not be screwed together, but was pressed into the niches with pressure stamps. After the frames were filled with acoustic fleece and sealed with swelling tape, the fitters attached out DESCOR® AP universal profile. Our DESCOR® PREMIUM textile was installed in this, processed with environmental friendly latex printing. The individual motif picks up the jungle flair of the restaurant.
