Acoustic panel in the Riesner Building

An acoustic panel made of sound-absorbing SILENCIO® from PONGS® now adorns the Research Center for Synthetic Life Sciences at Heinrich Heine University – also known as the Riesner Building, in honor of the sponsoring couple Dr. Hannelore Riesner and Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Detlev Riesner. The design of the oversized panel (dimensions 7.30 mx 4.40 m) comes from Mia Hamma (hammadesign). She was inspired by the shape of the distinctive building that looks like an X chromosome from above. This design panel is not only a real highlight visually, but also effectively improves the surround sound thanks to its acoustic properties.
