Historical photographs in the district office

Historical photographs printed on DESCOR® in the administrative district office. Seven large-format textile wall coverings decorate the foyer of the new administrative district office in Saxon Plauen. The digital prints of historical photographs on DESCOR® textiles are mounted on stretcher frames. Apart from the historical statement they add artistic aesthetic to the interior.

The prints feature interior and exterior views of the former department store Tietz which was built by the Jewish family and first openend in 1914. It is a protected landmark today. After an eventful history the department store closed once and for all in the year 2000. As of January 2017 the historic architectural complex with its striking glass facade is available to the citizens of Vogtland in the function of administrative district office.
